While parked in the garage I happened to pick up a very interesting radio signal. I dialed the radio back and forth until I found a steady stream that I could listen to. It sounds like a TV show of some sort, something called “We Bare Bears.” I’m revved up when I listen to a few of the episodes, and quickly become hooked. It’s a show about three bears, named Grizz, Panda, and Ice bear, playing out their daily lives. Sadly, I found out the show was cancelled because the bears wanted to live a life away from cameras.
I tune the radio the radio some more to find what I can pick up on. A news channel starts talking about Panda, and his push for forest fire prevention. Apparently the forest fires in Australia are awful and killing many of the ecosystems and wildlife that live their. Panda must be taking this especially hard since he is an animal and can relate to many of the other animals that are being affected by the forest fires. However, I can’t relate to their pain at all. I’m a car with a block of metal in the hood that has mini explosions, which allows me to move. Obviously, I have no idea what heat or even pain feel like, so I can’t fully grasp the pain that Australia must be feeling right now. I’ve heard the girl in black talk about it a few times, but I didn’t really listen. However, now that I’m a fan of Panda I think it is my prerogative to at least sympathize for Australia and all the animals that have to deal with heat.
I also learned that the leader of Australia does not care about the fires since they are a common occurrence there. I was neglected and I know how it feels to be tossed to the side, but I think the leader has and obligation to his country. He shouldn’t just be able to choose to neglect his country in it’s biggest time of need. Even the humans that are living there are suffering and I think that it is crazy the leader won’t even help his own kind. Overall, I completely support Pandas message to save the animals and try to protect them from further disaster.
